Claude Mckay II

Biography: Claude Mckay was born on September 15, 1880. he was a poet, journalist, and a novelist. His original name was Festus Claudius Mckay. He was born in Jamaica. His parents were farmers in Sunnyville. He was sent to live with his older brother at a very young age. He moved to the United States in 1921 and later moved to Morocco. In 1934, he was forced to return to the United States because of his financial state. He became a United States citizen in 1940.
